Becoming plant and going back to one’s nature to connect with our true identity. This is the main idea leading Meital Katz-Minerbo’s projects.

Katz-Minerbo is a visual artist that works in an interdisciplinary range of practices: painting, drawing, printing, collage, sculpture, fashion, and textile design. She creates paradigmatic and encoded artistic events filled with a very rich and recognizable imagery together with a sense of secrecy or a hidden statement. In her collaboration with the Fashion designer Dima Leu the idea of “becoming” appears in a concrete way. Specific forms and their traditional function are questioned when stressing concepts of gender in the search of true selfness. Katz-Minerbo created six head pieces resembling an organic and floral realm. Made with a combination of naturally dyed and synthetic fabrics the pieces are worn like attributes that magically liberate the subject from dichotomic classification showing a more diverse approach to ways of identification through Botany and Plants.
